Lowly, the Tree Ghost

Lowly, the Tree Ghost

“A band of hopefuls, where the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.” That’s what the up and coming sextet, Lowly, the Tree Ghost, refers to themselves as. Formed in the Cleveland area, they have released four albums since their start in 2009. This indie, acoustic band prides themselves on standing out by bringing violins and entertaining lyrics into their songs. The violins give the band more of a folk sound and the co-vocalists Andrew Arbogast and Emily McKitrick push the band to produce its own identity. Their hits include “A Sight To Behold” and “Laughing Apple” off of their February 2010 release “Whatever Goes, Let It Go!” And their most recent release that took place in November of 2011, “For the Haunted”, brings more duet vocals and interesting lyrics, especially in a song like “Bear Facts and the Baklava Parade.” Be sure to tune into 88.3 The Sting to hear their most recent hit “Bear Facts and the Baklava Parade” and check them out on Facebook!
