Here's a look at some of the stories we're covering today: Do you like Polish parades? If so, you're in luck! There will be two parades in the area on May 2 to celebrate Polish Constitution Day. The first will be held in Slavic Village, and the other will be held in (you guessed it) Parma. The Parma parade was in Slavic Village in the past but was moved, prompting Slavic Village to hold its own parade. The Slavic Village parade has the blessing of St. Stanislaus Church, while the Parma parade will feature the Parma, Normandy, and Valley Forge marching bands as well as "Big Chuck" Schodowski. Help name Lorain's new school The Lorain City School District is soliciting ideas for names for their new high school, which will open at the site of the current Admiral King High School in August after King and Southview merge. Ice manufacturer fined Home City Ice will pay a $9 million fine after pleading guilty in 2008 to conspiring to eliminate competition in the packaged ice market by dividing up customers with a competitor in Michigan. The other ice manufacturer will also pay a $9 million fine.
