Here's a look at some of the stories we're covering today: State of the City Perhaps the biggest highlight of Cleveland Mayor Frank Jackson's address was the announcement that Sunpu Opto Semiconductor Company would relocate its headquarters here. Sunpu Opto makes LED lights and plans to create an LED streetlight design for Cleveland. The move will bring 350 green jobs to Cleveland. Ohio a finalist for education stimulus funds The funds are a part of the "Race to the Top" program and amount to over 400 million dollars. 15 other states are in the running for the money. Mid-Ohio nursing schools merge Ashland University will acquire the MedCentral College of Nursing in Mansfield. MedCentral pushed for the move because of difficulty attracting faculty members and a lack of space to expand. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
