Obama coming to Strongsville The President will speak at 1 PM on Monday at the Ehrnfelt Recreation Center on Rt. 82. Free tickets will be distributed on Sunday starting at 2 PM at the Strongsville Senior Center, which is adjacent to the recreation center.

Flooding possible this weekend A Flood Watch is in effect until Sunday night. Melting snow is expected to combine with rain to create flooding of rivers and streams. Drive safely and if you see standing water, turn around, don't drown!

Regina DQ'd from basketball tournament The all-girls school, which will be closed at the end of the year, was disqualified for playing an ineligible player in regular season and tournament games. Regina was considered to be one of the best teams in the state with a strong chance of sending their school out with a state championship. Elyria Catholic takes their place in the tournament and will play Smithville tomorrow at 1:30 PM at Cuyahoga Falls.

ACORN to give up Ohio operations The community organizing group will permanently surrender its business license under a settlement with the 1851 Center for Constitutional Law. The libertarian group had accused ACORN of conducting organized crime by submitting a pattern of fraudulent voter registrations. ACORN has denied any wrongdoing and had already ceased business for unrelated reasons.
