Obama in Strongsville The president is expected to speak shortly after 1 PM today on the health care bill that may hit the House floor this week but still doesn't have the votes it needs to pass according to the House Majority Whip. Governor Strickland will be in attendance but Natoma Canfield, the Medina woman who wrote President Obama a letter about health care that was read at a White House press briefing, will not as she is in the hospital being treated for Leukemia.

Gas prices are up again. This time, AAA says the statewide average for regular unleaded is $2.72 a gallon. Government officials say that gas prices may reach as high as $3 a gallon this summer.

Mentor woman paddles across the Atlantic 22 year old Katie Spotz ended her journey in Guyana yesterday, over 2 months and 3,000 miles after beginning her journey in Africa. She did it to raise money for clean drinking water for the estimated 1 billion people who don't have it.
