Obama makes the case in Strongsville The president pitched health care to a crowd of 1,400 people at the Ehrnfelt Recreation Center. Part of the reason that Obama chose to come to Northeast Ohio may have been the fact that all of the Ohio Democrats have asked to see the final version of the health care bill before voting on it. The Plain Dealer reports that Dennis Kucinich is planning to vote no, while Betty Sutton and Marcy Kaptur are both undecided.

Continental to end meals on most flights The last domestic carrier to offer meals in coach on domestic flights will end the practice this fall. Free meals will still be offered on international flights and flights longer than six hours such as those from New York to Los Angeles. Continental has a hub at Hopkins Airport and none of the domestic flights from there qualify for free meals.

Execution set for today Ohio will make its third attempt at executing Lawrence Reynolds. His execution was postponed amid a review of Ohio's lethal injection procedures and then again after he attempted suicide. Reynolds was convicted of strangling his neighbor in 1994.
