Here's a look at some of the stories we're covering today:
Lorain names new high school It's in with the old in Lorain, as the school board decided to name the combined high school Lorain High School. It was the most popular name in an online survey, beating out Admiral King, the name of the school that is currently where Lorain High will be next year, as well as Lorain Central High and Lorain International High. Lorain High School will be formed out of the merger of Admiral King and Southview High Schools next year. A mascot and colors will be decided later.
Strickland signs new dating violence bill The new law, which is being called Shynerra's Law, will allow juvenile courts to issue restraining orders for minors in dating relationships. The law was named after Shynerra Grant of Toledo, who was shot to death by an abusive ex-boyfriend in 2005.
It's Madness! The NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament starts today. In local action, 14th-seeded Ohio takes on 3rd-seeded Georgetown tonight at 7:25.
