Here's a look at some of the stories we're covering today: Demjanjuk makes statement in court It's the first time the retired Seven Hills autoworker has made a statement in his German trial. He claimed that he himself is a victim of Adolf Hitler as he was forced into slave labor as a prisoner of the Nazis. Demjanjuk is being tried for 27,900 counts of being an accessory to murder during his alleged time as a Nazi prison camp guard. Democratic Senate candidates to debate today Lee Fisher and Jennifer Brunner will square off today at the Downtown Marriott in a debate hosted by the City Club of Cleveland. The most recent Quinnipiac University poll shows Fisher leading Brunner 33 percent to 26 percent. Republican Rob Portman is running unopposed in the GOP primary.
