Medina Co. car crash kills high school student 16 year old Erin Ehrbar and her brother, 13 year old Andrew Ehrbar, were pulling out of her driveway yesterday morning when her car was struck by a Ford Mustang driven by 17 year old Jonathan Slifka. Erin was killed in the crash and Andrew was taken by LifeFlight to MetroHealth with serious injuries. Slifka was taken to Medina Hospital with facial lacerations. All three were students in the Highland school district.

Strickland leads Kasich in race for governor The Quinnipiac University poll released yesterday shows Governor Ted Strickland ahead of Republican challenger John Kasich by a 44 percent to 38 percent count.

Goodyear posts 1Q loss The Akron-based tire maker says revenue is up 21 percent, but factors including a devaluation of Venezuelan currency caused a first quarter loss of $47 million.
