Keep checking this page throughout the night for the latest election updates: For up-to-the-minute results, visit the websites of the Ohio Secretary of State, Cuyahoga County Board of Elections, Lorain County Board of Elections, and Medina County Board of Elections 11:15 PM: School levies split right down the middle tonight. Most that failed were additional levies, whereas most of the renewals passed. Seems to speak to the state of our economy... 10:38 PM: CORRECTION: Yost over Husted in the Auditor race 10:18 PM: AP has called several races. Fisher, Husted, Yost all projected to win their races. 9:46 PM: No big updates, returns are starting to slow down a bit. Countywide levies in Lorain and Cuyahoga Counties are passing, Medina County DD levy barely failing. 9:13 PM: Races starting to be called. Sutton projected to win OH-13 (D). Kaptur projected to win OH-9 (D). 8:48 PM: First school levy results are in. Mostly absentee voting so far. Lakewood, North Royalton, Parma (Issue 9), Rocky River, Westlake, Firelands, and North Ridgeville all passing. Results should be coming in shortly... 7:19 PM: 11 minutes until the close of the polls. No major problems reported today at the polling places. A few machines froze in Cuyahoga County and a polling place lost power, but both problems were taken care of quickly. |
