Kayak Capsized on Lake Erie Bliss Davis Fox 8- The U.S. Coast Guard rescued two men after their kayak capsized Saturday. Rescuers say the men had been in the water for about 45 minutes before they were found near Middle Bass Island in Lake Erie shortly after 4 p.m. The Coast Guardsmen say one of the men was unable to swim but used a life jacket to stay afloat in the 65 degree water. The men, ages 29 and 32, were taken to emergency crews in Put-in-Bay before being released with no injuries.
