Everyone is waiting for a ticket to see the President

Dan Jovic Fox 8- President Obama is set to embark on a two-day bus tour that includes a stop at James Day Park in Parma, and some northeast Ohio residents are excited. Lydia Flores of North Olmsted says she wants to be in the front row. “Oh yeah I can’t wait to see him,” said Flores. “I’d like to be right up there with him.” Flores and her husband were the first ones in line to get tickets on Tuesday morning at the Organizing for America Field Offices on Ridge Road in Parma. They were just a few of the dozens of Mr. Obama supporters who say they are eagerly anticipating the President’s visit to our area. “I’m just so excited,” said Kimberley Ware of Stow. “I missed him when I was in Kansas and I don’t plan on missing it this time.” Many individuals arrived at the President’s re-election campaign headquarters in Parma and Shaker Heights early Tuesday morning to get in line to receive one of the free coveted “Green” tickets to see the Obama speak. Joe Reed of Strongsville says he made sure he was going to get a ticket. “This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to see a sitting President, especially one that you support.” Obama’s two-day 'Betting on America' bus tour runs through the political battle grounds of Northern Ohio and Western Pennsylvania. The President will celebrate the 4th of July holiday along the bus trip. He’ll also talk to voters about his efforts to fix the sluggish economy and get the unemployed back to work. Parma police were patrolling James Day Park to make sure everything goes as planned for the Presidential visit Thursday evening. If you have a ticket and are planning to attend the event make sure you arrive early. Seating will be limited and those in attendance will have to go through security checks. The President is expected to arrive at James Day Park at 7:15pm.
