Here's a look at some of the stories we're covering today:

With a name like Smucker's... You might not think there would be layoffs. But there will be 700 jobs cut from the J.M. Smucker Co. after they decided to close four plants. None of the job losses will be in the company's home state of Ohio, and the company will in fact build a new plant in Orrville as it works to modernize and cut costs.

Boehner, GOP pushing Ohio to fight health care law House Minority Leader John Boehner and the rest of the Ohio Republican congressional delegation wrote a letter to Ohio Attorney General Richard Cordray urging him to join a lawsuit filed by attorneys general in 13 other states that would declare the new health care laws unconstitutional. Cordray has portrayed such lawsuits as groundless and wasteful

More e-textbooks in Ohio classrooms? A bill sponsored by state Rep. Matt Lundy (D-Elyria) would require publishers to offer more textbooks as e-books. Lundy says that this proposal would help save students money rather than letting textbook costs cause students to take out student loans.

Here's a look at some of the stories we're covering today:

Tea Party aims to block health care bill in Ohio A group of conservative Tea Party activists led by the Ohio Liberty Council plan to distribute petitions to get a constitutional amendment on the ballot that would block President Obama's health care initiative from taking effect. They'll need to collect 402,275 valid signatures by June 30 in order to get their amendment on the ballot.

Danny Glover in Cleveland He's here to show support for workers at the Hugo Boss plant in Brooklyn. He'll visit with workers at the plant today. Glover previously called for a boycott of Hugo Boss on the red carpet of the Oscars to protest the company's planned closure of the Brooklyn plant, which will leave 375 people out of work.

Sowell records were public That's according to assistant prosecutor Richard Bombik, who says that the psychiatric records of accused serial killer Anthony Sowell were submitted as evidence and that the public should know about it. Judge Shirley Strickland Saffold had threatened to arrest a Plain Dealer reporter who did a story about the report, but backed off after she found out that another judge had released the information.

Here's a look at some of the stories we're covering today:

Health Care Passes With votes of 219-212 on the Senate bill and 220-211 on the reconciliation bill, health care reform passed the House of Representatives late last night. The entire Ohio delegation voted along party lines except for Democrat Zack Space, who voted no and said that the bill could hurt working class Americans and provide a windfall to insurance companies.

Gas Prices are up again. AAA says that the average price for a gallon of regular unleaded in Ohio has risen to $2.77 a gallon, up 5 cents from last week. Gas prices are now at their highest levels nationwide since October 2008.

March Madness It was a good day for Ohio in the NCAA Tournaments yesterday. In second round action, the Ohio State men knocked out Georgia Tech 75-66 and the Xavier men eliminated Pitt 71-68. The Ohio State women beat St. Francis 93-59 in a first round game.

Here's a look at some of the stories we're covering today:

Unemployment went up in February as more people entered the job market but could not find work. 10.9 percent of Ohio workers were out of work, well above the national average of 9.7 percent. This time last year, the unemployment rate was only 9.1 percent.

Kerstetter Arrangements Calling hours will take place again tonight from 2 to 9 PM for fallen Elyria Police Officer James Kerstetter. Funeral services will take place tomorrow at 10 AM at LCCC and will be closed to the public. Burial will also be private and will take place at Resthaven Memory Gardens in Avon. Those wishing to pay their respects are asked to line the procession route, which can be found here.

Can you say upset? The Ohio Bobcats knocked off the Georgetown Hoyas 97-83 last night in the first round of the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament. Bobcat fans took to the streets of Athens afterwards, blocking an entire street. Extra police were called in and there was one arrest. They face Tennessee tomorrow. 2nd-seeded Ohio State takes on 15th-seeded UC Santa Barbara at 9:35 PM and 6th-seeded Xavier faces 11th-seeded Minnesota at 12:25 PM.
