Sowell lawyers try for venue change Lawyers for accused serial killer Anthony Sowell will attempt to have his trial moved out of Cuyahoga County. Prosecutors say Sowell's trial will attract publicity regardless of where it's held.
Asian carp testing continues Officials from Illinois and the Obama administration say they have renewed testing to help determine what needs to be done to keep Asian carp out of the Great Lakes. Experts predict an ecosystem disaster if the invasive fish take hold.
Ohio meets new sex offender standards The Associated Press has found that Ohio is the only state to meet the new, stronger standards for dealing with sex offenders. The law aims to create a national sex offender registry that requires even the youngest offenders to register.

Here's a look at some of the biggest issue and races in yesterday's primary elections:
Statewide races Lee Fisher defeated Jennifer Brunner for the Democratic U.S. Senate nomination. Dave Yost knocked off Seth Morgan in the Republican State Auditor primary. Jon Husted defeated Sandra O'Brien in the Republican race for Ohio Secretary of State.
Statewide issues: Issue 1, a bond issue to continue funding the Third Frontier program, passed 62 percent to 38 percent. Issue 2, an issue to move the Columbus Casino from the Arena District to the west side, passed 68%-32%.
School Levies Levies in Elyria, Firelands, Lakewood, North Ridgeville, North Royalton, Parma (renewal levy), Rocky River, and Westlake passed. The news wasn't so happy in Avon, Columbia, Lorain, Midview, North Olmsted, and Parma (additional levy), as their levies all failed.

11:15 PM: School levies split right down the middle tonight. Most that failed were additional levies, whereas most of the renewals passed. Seems to speak to the state of our economy...
10:38 PM: CORRECTION: Yost over Husted in the Auditor race
10:18 PM: AP has called several races. Fisher, Husted, Yost all projected to win their races.
9:46 PM: No big updates, returns are starting to slow down a bit. Countywide levies in Lorain and Cuyahoga Counties are passing, Medina County DD levy barely failing.
9:13 PM: Races starting to be called. Sutton projected to win OH-13 (D). Kaptur projected to win OH-9 (D).

Here's a look at some of the stories we're covering today:
United, Continental to merge The merger will create the world's largest airline. The new airline will take United's name, but will retain Continental's logo and colors. In a press conference this morning, officials from both airlines said that they will keep all 8 of the airlines' hubs, but Cleveland Hopkins, which is currently a Continental hub, is the smallest of the 8. State officials are prepared to offer United incentives to keep Cleveland's hub strong. The merger is expected to close late this year.
Interim Ohio chief justice to be sworn in today Judge Eric Brown will be administered the oath of office by Justice Paul Pfeifer, who has been the acting chief justice since Thomas Moyer died on April 2. Brown was appointed by Governor Strickland to serve the remaining 8 months of Moyer's term and will face Maureen O'Connor in the general election for a full term.
Election Day is tomorrow! If you plan to mail in your ballot, you must do so today to ensure that it gets counted. Stick with 88.3 FM The Sting all night tomorrow for election updates at the top and bottom of every hour starting at 7 PM.
