Here's a look at some of the stories we're covering today:
Saffold recusal to go to the Supreme Court Judge Shirley Strickland Saffold did not issue a ruling on whether or not she would recuse herself from the case of accused serial killer Anthony Sowell. The case will be appealed by Sowell's lawyers, who believe that Saffold is biased against them, to the Supreme Court.
Teacher accused of writing "loser" on student Amy Butterfield faces a disciplinary hearing after she allegedly wrote "loser" on a Columbus first grader's arm. She has been on paid leave since April 1 and says that the student wanted to write "loser" on her.
10 percent of Cuyahoga County voting machines fail inspection The machines that failed froze during tests to make sure that the optical scanners work correctly. The county is considering using backup scanners in the May 4 primary.

Demjanjuk makes statement in court It's the first time the retired Seven Hills autoworker has made a statement in his German trial. He claimed that he himself is a victim of Adolf Hitler as he was forced into slave labor as a prisoner of the Nazis. Demjanjuk is being tried for 27,900 counts of being an accessory to murder during his alleged time as a Nazi prison camp guard.
Democratic Senate candidates to debate today Lee Fisher and Jennifer Brunner will square off today at the Downtown Marriott in a debate hosted by the City Club of Cleveland. The most recent Quinnipiac University poll shows Fisher leading Brunner 33 percent to 26 percent. Republican Rob Portman is running unopposed in the GOP primary.

Here's a look at some of the stories we're covering today:
Gas Prices have gone up again. The average for a gallon of regular unleaded in Ohio is now up to $2.81 a gallon, up 7 cents from last Monday. Experts are forecasting that prices will go even higher this summer during travel season.
National City becomes PNC today The name change that has been over a year in the making finally takes place today across Northeast Ohio. Customers with questions or concerns should call (877)-762-9119 or go to www.welcometopnc.com.
Wall collapses at Rapid station The Lee Road Rapid station is still closed after a wall crumbled on Saturday. No one was hurt at the Blue Line station, but shuttle buses will have to be used to transport riders between Shaker Square and the Warrensville-Van Aken station until at least Thursday.

Thomas Moyer to lie in state today The late Ohio Chief Justice's family will accept visitors at the Ohio Supreme Court building today from 10 AM to 7 PM. Moyer died last Friday at the age of 70 after suffering from gastrointestinal problems.
No agreement at Hugo Boss Union leaders were unable to come to terms with Hugo Boss during a meeting with a federal mediator yesterday. More than 375 jobs hang in the balance. The next meeting is on April 21st.
Boccieri expecting his fifth child John Boccieri (D-OH 16) and his wife are expecting to have "either a boy or a girl" this Fall. However, the child's due date is November 2, which happens to be Election Day. All four of the couple's previous children were born on their due dates, and if the fifth is as well it could render Boccieri unable to do any last-minute campaigning.
