Live Monday 1pm-4pm
I'm Alex and I'm a Junior Music Industry major here at BW. I've been involved with WBWC since my freshman year, and I am currently serving as the Music Director! Music is the absolute love of my life, so being able to spin my favorite tracks at the station weekly is something I am very grateful for. Since I am looking to pursue a career in the music business, getting to learn about the promotions area of the biz and how radio is still a very important aspect of that has been a great and exciting first-hand learning experience. Outside of discovering and playing the best of modern alt rock, I'm a devout fan of classic rock and the entire '60s and '70s music era!
Live Thursday 6am-9am
Hi there! I'm a junior Media Production & Sport Management double major with a minor in Audio Production & Sound Design. While pursuing a degree I also serve as WBWC's General Manager where I lead the WBWC Student Board of Directors. My favorite part about WBWC is how hands on we are, and how you can envision a idea, like WBWC-2 or the Radiothon, and we all work together to make it happen. While I currently host Cleveland's Modern rock Alternative from 6am-9am every Thursday, I also love to play songs with execelent guitar work on my show Riff Rebellion, which aris every Tuesday 10pm-12am. You can frequently here me behind the mic traveling around covering BW athletics for WBWC. In the past I have served on the board as the Traffic Director (SU24), Production Coordinator (FA24), Operations Director (SP25), and the Sports Representative (SU24-FA25). WBWC has helped me grow as a host, commentator, media producion professional, and as a student.
Live Wednesday 1pm-4pm
My favorite part about WBWC is the opportunity to commentate sports. I've always been a huge sports fan, so I am grateful that WBWC has allowed me to get experience calling games! In terms of music, my go-to genres are Christian/Worship and Pop-punk, and some of my favorite artists are Shane & Shane and Will Linley!
Live Wednesday 10am-1pm
My name is Jessica Klonowski, and I am a current senior at BW studying public relations, psychology, and athletic coaching. I have been a part of WBWC for two years now, starting as Music Director before advancing to my current position, the station's Program Director. When I got to college, I found out that any major could be a part of the radio station, and I instantly wanted to jump right in. Despite not having a ton of media production experience, the class taught me everything that I needed to know and more, preparing me for the industry. The station has meant the absolute world to me, allowing me to have professional industry experiences such as being a reporter for the Cleveland Cavaliers 2025 Media Day, interviewing artists we play on the station, and commentating sports. The station has made my time in college incredibly special and has given me the chance to lead a real, 4,000 watt station that reaches most of Cleveland. I love getting to be a part of the CLE radio scene!
Live Friday 4pm-5pm/6pm-7pm
I started my first Shift in January 2023 and have loved it ever since! I have done a lot around the station, including acting as a former production and operation director, calling over 50+ sports broadcast, and spinning over 300 hours of music. In addition, I am also the Vice President for FCA and played football for BW as well
Live Friday 8pm-10pm
Hey I'm Kate! I got introduced to The Sting when a friend of mine told me about a radio class that she took on campus. I gave it a try and had a lot of fun, and I wanted to keep doing more radio work! I'm an on-air host, you can catch me on Fridays from 8-10pm. My favorite part about WBWC is discovering new music artists and sharing that with others!
Live Wednesday 10pm-1am
For me, becoming an on-air host at WBWC was an easy decision, considering the amount of friends I have in college radio at BW and elsewhere. Outside of my shift, I'm also involved in the sports department-- commentating, producing, and appearing on Sports Pulse pretty often. Being on the radio was my dream as a kid, so my favorite part of being at WBWC is just going on air every week. I'm also thankful for the great staff here at WBWC, and all the friends I have at the station, because they all help me live my dream every day without even realizing it.
Live Saturday 6am-9am
I was a fan of WBWC and its music way before I was a DJ. I've worked on previous Summer Marathons for Blondie, Depeche Mode, and R.E.M.
Live Thursday 1pm-4pm
I had always wanted to get involved with radio, and with WBWC I finally got that chance. Nowadays I stick around as an on air host, and the Production Director because The Sting quickly developed into a passion project.
Live Tuesday 10am-1pm
Rylee is a 3rd year Media Production student with a minor in English. She is the News Director at WBWC, and loves being apart of the WBWC team. She loves all things media and media analysis, as well as well as staying informed on current events. When she isn’t at the station, she loves to sing with BW’s Sol A Capella. You can catch her every Tuesday morning from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm on The Sting, as well as every Friday at 7:00 pm for her specialty show NewsPulse.
Live Tuesday 1pm-4pm
I originally took the intro class for my communications credit and because I thought being on the radio would be cool. I really enjoyed it and got my first shift the following semester. I also took my passion for sports and my Sport Management major and became the Sports Director in my first semester at WBWC
